For hot-rolled plate
The disadvantage of hot-rolled plate is that some sulfides, oxides, silicates, etc. inside the hot-rolled steel will be extruded and thinned, resulting in non fusion and delamination.
This will reduce the tensile force of the steel, and may cause interlayer cracking when the welding point shrinks. This situation is much larger than the strain strength caused by steel load.
The advantage of hot-rolled plate is that after high-temperature hot rolling, the internal structure of steel can be reconstructed to make the grain of steel finer. It can also change the shortcomings of the steel structure and make the steel structure more solid and compact. Better ductility and load capacity. Moreover, some original structures in the steel are evacuated, and cracks and bubbles can also be completely removed by rolling.
For cold-rolled sheet
The disadvantage of cold-rolled sheet is poor elasticity, general ductility, and it is easy to twist when bending. It is difficult to change its shape. And its load capacity is relatively small. There are also limitations where it is used.
The advantages of cold rolled sheet are easy processing, simple operation, and mass production. It will not damage the external protective layer of steel, and can also produce various forms of finished products, which are suitable for different use environments. Its yield point can also be raised, which can change its properties to a greater extent.
